KOMEN FOR THE CURE
There are more than 2 million breast cancer survivors living in the United States today. In 2008, an estimated 180,000 new cases of invasive breast cancer are expected to occur among women. So funding breast cancer outreach and investing in grassroots initiatives is especially important to us. That's why we have partnered with Susan G. Komen for the Cure, in the movement to end breast cancer forever.
OUR COMMITMENT
During 2007 and 2008, the maker of Quilted Northern and Quilted Northern Ultra® will donate more than $1.5 million to the Komen Partnership through corporate sponsorships and an on-pack donation program.
Not only are we pledging dollars, but hours as well. Hundreds of Georgia-Pacific volunteers are participating in the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure® 5K run/walk events. There are 117 Races nationwide and lots of fun activities sponsored by Quilted Northern Ultra at each one!
