ABOUT SUSAN G. KOMEN FOR THE CURE

Nancy G. Brinker promised her dying sister, Susan G. Komen, she would do everything in her power to end breast cancer forever. In 1982, that promise became Susan G. Komen for the Cure and launched the global breast cancer movement. Today, Komen for the Cure is the world's largest grassroots network of breast cancer survivors and activists fighting to save lives, empower people, ensure quality care for all and energize science to find the cures. Through events like the Race for the Cure®, Komen has invested nearly $1 billion to fulfill the Promise to end breast cancer forever. Komen has become the largest source of nonprofit funds dedicated to the fight against breast cancer in the world. For more information about Susan G. Komen for the Cure, breast health or breast cancer, visit the Komen website at www.komen.org or call 1-877 GO KOMEN.

Since 2004 Georgia-Pacific has donated over $3.5M to Susan G. Komen for the Cure. In 2012, Georgia-Pacific, including the Quilted Northern® brand will continue its support to the fight against breast cancer.

In addition, the maker of Quilted Northern® bath tissue will reinforce Komen's public awareness initiatives through free-standing promotional inserts, national and local public relations, advertising and online activity.

Not only are we pledging dollars, but hours as well. Hundreds of Georgia-Pacific volunteers are participating in the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure® 5K run⁄walk. There are 121 Races nationwide and lots of fun activities sponsored by the maker of Quilted Northern bath tissue at each one! Learn more about the Komen Race for the Cure® 5k run/walk.
