Nancy G. Brinker promised her dying sister, Susan G. Komen, she would do everything in her power to end breast cancer forever. In 1982, that promise became Susan G. Komen for the Cure and launched the global breast cancer movement. Today, Komen for the Cure is the world's largest grassroots network of breast cancer survivors and activists fighting to save lives, empower people, ensure quality care for all and energize science to find the cures. Through events like the Race for the Cure®, Komen has invested nearly $1 billion to fulfill the Promise to end breast cancer forever. As part of the on-pack program, we are donating 50 cents for every UPC (proof of purchase) collected and redeemed online or mailed in from specially-marked packages of Quilted Northern Ultra® bath tissue. These items will be identified with a pink ribbon on the front of the package to remind you that you can make a difference. With your help, we will donate a minimum of $100,000 up to a maximum of $500,000 per year*.

In addition, Quilted Northern® will reinforce Komen's public awareness initiatives through free-standing promotional inserts, national and local public relations, advertising and online activity.

Not only are we pledging dollars, but hours as well. Hundreds of GP volunteers are participating in the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure® 5K run⁄walk.
